Welcome to Vacherie Elementary School! Our school is located in Vacherie, Louisiana along the west bank of the Mississippi River and services students in grades Pre-K through third.
My name is Tammy Gravois Templet, and I am excited to be serving the students and families in my community. I have been an educator since 2001 and have served as a teacher, kindergarten-third grade interventionist, library media specialist, SBLC coordinator, state testing coordinator, and principal. I earned my bachelor's degree and teaching certificate from Northwestern State University. My master's degree, also from Northwestern State University, is in Educational Technology Leadership. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher in Early and Middle Childhood Literacy: Reading-Language Arts.
At VES, we strive to foster a culture of learning and growing. We welcome and encourage our families to be active participants in their child's educational success. Together, we will cultivate a love for learning and continued success.
